Computer-based Feet Examination

Evaluating the correctness of foot shape has a significant diagnostic importance. All deflections in its structure can be caused by abnormalities within other parts of body. Therefore, asymmetries within feet can give evidence about the existence of faulty posture.

Computer-based examination of plantar side of foot constitutes development and improvement of the known medical inspection. Apart from a precise footprint (plantokonturogram) we obtain some information about a spatial configuration of foot arching. It allows to reliably evaluate the condition of longitudinal arching, to evaluate the angle of hallux valgity, the angle of varus deformity of the toe as well as to observe the carrying spheres. Thanks to that we can state the correctness of arrangement of power pressure.

The picture can be watched and recorded on computer screen also during the patient’s doing assigned exercises, which enables us to conclude about the reasons of existing problems.

Performing examinations with load or relief (the person is standing or sitting) allows to notice the developmental phase of platypodia in which the efficiency of ligament-capsule-muscle system gets impaired.

The appliance also facilitates designing orthopedic inserts.

Computer-aided foot examination ST2K

Constant development of the device for computer-aided foot examination ST2K has led to creation of an apparatus that combines in itself several unique features thanks to which it can be applied both for diagnostic, scientific, medical purposes as well as for everyday work, e.g. to choose proper shoes or corrective socks.

Basic ST2K features:

Calculated parameters

The foot examination method has been fairly well described in professional literature. The software allows designating almost all parameters that appear there. There is also a group of specific values obtained from spatial analysis of the metatarsus.
